Who We Are
We’re Tandem Social—a boutique social media and content agency based right here in Rhode Island. We specialize in making brands shine online through creative storytelling, eye-catching visuals, and smart strategies that drive results.
We’ve had the privilege of working with some of Newport’s biggest names, including Discover Newport, The Newport Mansions, 11th Hour Racing, Sail Newport, The Audrain Automobile Museum, and Kiel James Patrick. Our local roots and experience in tourism and hospitality give us a unique perspective—and a lot of love—for helping destinations stand out.
At Tandem, we’re all about bringing fresh ideas to the table, creating content people want to share, and building connections that keep audiences engaged. We’re creative, collaborative, and committed to making Bowen’s Wharf as exciting online as it is in person.
Content Breakdown for 2025
Budget Breakdown Overview
The budget breakdown below provides a detailed look at the total cost of the proposed work, which comes to $147,900. This includes everything outlined in the scope, and assuming the following as a basis:
10 Podcast Episodes – 8 recorded in-studio and 2 filmed on location.
8 Videos for the Music Series – Single-take performances with full production support.
The table breaks down each category and its associated costs, making it easy to see how everything fits into the overall scope.
Monthly Retainer Option
To simplify billing and accounting, we’re proposing the option to structure this scope of work as a monthly retainer of $12,325. This would spread the total cost evenly across 12 months, ensuring predictable expenses without the need to manage separate invoices for each project.
A retainer also allows us to maintain a consistent schedule for content creation, editing, and delivery while providing the flexibility to adjust priorities as needed. This structure makes it easier to plan ahead and ensures the budget supports all deliverables throughout the year.
Flexible Scope and Adjustments
This proposal is meant to serve as a starting point based on everything we discussed and the requests you shared. While it outlines a full scope of work, we’re completely open to adjusting the plan—whether that means scaling up, scaling down, or adding new ideas as needs evolve throughout the year. Our goal was to present a comprehensive approach that covers everything we talked about, but we’re happy to refine or customize the scope to make sure it fits your priorities and budget.

High-Level Production Costs
In addition to the monthly content and smaller projects outlined earlier, you’ve also asked us to quote two larger-scale productions—a brand commercial and a well-produced travel web series. High-level productions like these can vary widely in cost depending on the complexity, size of the crew, number of shoot days, locations, talent, and post-production needs. To help you plan and budget for these projects, we’ve included an example of a similar large-scale production we’ve done in the past, along with some general cost considerations based on scope.
Example: South County Tourism
We produced a commercial for a tourism council that involved:
Multiple Cuts - 60 second, 30 second, 15 second, and social cuts
7 Shoot Days – Covering multiple days to capture a variety of scenes and environments.
10 Locations – Ranging from beaches and restaurants to hotels and outdoor attractions.
20 Talent Roles – Featuring a mix of professional actors and real people.
Extensive Pre-Production – Including scripting, scheduling, permitting, and planning logistics.
Wardrobe, Props, and Styling – Coordinated looks and visuals for each scene.
Hair, Makeup, and Food – Providing on-set styling and meals for talent and crew.
Advanced Production and Post-Production – Professional audio, lighting, color grading, and editing.
Larger Crew – Including producers, directors, camera operators, sound engineers, assistants, and stylists.
This project fell in the $75,000–$100,000 range, and varies depending on the final deliverables and adjustments during production.
Production Cost Ranges by Scope
Smaller Productions (1–2 Days) – $15,000–$30,000
Simple commercial spots or social campaigns with a small crew, minimal talent, and a quick turnaround.
Mid-Size Productions (3–4 Days) – $40,000–$60,000
More involved projects with multiple locations, talent, and pre-production requirements.
Large-Scale Productions (5+ Days) – $75,000–$150,000+
Fully scripted, cinematic campaigns with large crews, multiple shoot days, specialized equipment, and extensive post-production.
We’re happy to work with you to develop a clearer estimate for these larger projects once we have more details about the concepts, goals, and scale. This section is meant to give you a rough idea of costs so you can plan ahead in your overall budget. It might be easier if we start discussing the creative goals for each project.

Quarterly Creative Brainstorms to keep ideas fresh and exciting.

Let’s face it—social media is visual, and people scroll fast. We don’t just post content; we create experiences. From cinematic video reels to polished photography, our work grabs attention and gets people excited about what Bowen’s Wharf has to offer.
What Sets Us Apart:
8–10 unique Instagram reels per month (your current vendor provides zero).

5. Proven Experience in Newport Tourism
We already work with Discover Newport, The Newport Mansions, Kiel James Patrick, 11th Hour Racing, Sail Newport, and Audrain—trusted names that define Newport’s brand. We bring that same expertise, passion, and polish to Bowen’s Wharf.
Ready for the Next Chapter?
Your current vendor may be checking the box, but we’re here to rewrite the playbook. With Tandem, Bowen’s Wharf won’t just feel like Newport’s top destination—it’ll look like it too.
Let’s create something unforgettable—together.
Final Thoughts and Next Steps
We put this proposal together based on everything we’ve talked about so far, covering both the ongoing content and the bigger projects you’re looking to tackle in 2025. The total for everything comes to $147,900, but we also included an option to structure it as a monthly retainer of $12,325 to help keep things simple and predictable on your end.
The retainer option would make it easy to keep the ball rolling each month without worrying about separate invoices for every project. Of course, we’re happy to talk through other ways to lay this out if you prefer!
Flexible Scope and Big Projects
This plan includes everything we discussed, but we’re totally open to tweaking it. Whether we need to scale it up, scale it down, or add anything new along the way, we’re here to make it work. The goal was to give you the full picture so you can see what’s possible and how it could all fit into the year.
We also included some rough numbers for the bigger production projects, like the brand commercial and travel web series, to help with early budgeting. These kinds of projects can really vary depending on what’s involved—things like talent, crew size, locations, and post-production all play a role—so we’re happy to dig into the details when you’re ready.
