We’re Tandem—a boutique, creative agency based in Newport, Rhode Island. We specialize in making brands shine online through creative storytelling, eye-catching visuals, and smart strategies that drive results.

We’ve had the privilege of working with some of Rhode Island’s most recognizable names, including The Newport Mansions, The Ocean House, South County Tourism, Discover Newport, and Kiel James Patrick. Our local roots and experience in tourism and hospitality give us a unique perspective—and a lot of love—for helping destinations stand out.

Content Strategy + Development

A strong social media presence starts with purposeful, engaging content that feels fresh, relevant, and true to Norman Bird Sanctuary’s mission. Through strategic planning, trend-driven execution, and high-quality visuals, we’ll create a content experience that inspires adventure, sparks curiosity, and builds a deeper connection to nature.

What’s Included:

  • Monthly Content Calendar: A strategic, pre-planned schedule of content, ensuring consistency and alignment with key events, trends, and brand messaging.

  • 6–8 Unique Instagram Reels Per Month: Eye-catching, trend-driven videos designed for engagement and sharing.

  • 1/2 Day Shoot: On-site video filming designed to capture dynamic and engaging footage.

  • UGC style - Organic feel for better social performance.

  • Trend Research & Execution: Staying on top of what’s working and incorporating it into the content strategy.

  • Editing & Post-Production: Professional editing for polished, high-quality content that stands out.

  • Repurposing Content: Utilizing existing materials—such as bird cam footage, old photos, and user-submitted videos—to create fresh, engaging content that extends the lifespan of your media assets

  • Showcasing Key Themes: Highlight conservation efforts, educational programs, special events, hiking  trails, and research. 

Advising: Budget and Resources

Smart marketing starts with strategic budgeting and resource allocation. We’ll work closely with you to develop a feasible annual marketing budget, identify funding opportunities, and ensure every dollar is spent effectively to maximize reach, impact, and long-term growth.


What’s Included:

  • Annual Marketing Budget:

    • Work with NBS to determine a feasible annual marketing budget.

    • Advise on strategic allocation of marketing and advertising budget 

    • Advise on funding and underwriting sources aligned with marketing efforts, eg.  Google Ad Words, etc. 

  • Advertising Budget:

    • Determine which advertising avenues would be best for the organization.

    • Help develop advertising strategy, budget, and rollout.

Social Media Growth and Engagement

A thriving social presence is about building community, not just posting. With Instagram as the focus and thoughtful cross-sharing to Facebook, we’ll foster engagement through daily interaction, strategic collaborations, and compelling content that inspires support for Norman Bird Sanctuary’s mission.


What’s Included:

  • Daily Monitoring & Engagement: Actively managing comments, messages, and mentions to foster interaction and ensure no opportunity for engagement is missed.

  • Community Engagement: Responding to followers, sparking conversations, and building an engaged online community.

  • Cross-Promotion with Community Partners: Encouraging collaborations with sponsors, nonprofit organizations, donors, and aligned businesses to expand reach and visibility.

  • 3-4 Posts Per Week: A balance of reels and static posts to keep content fresh and engaging.

  • Facebook: Cross sharing the Instagram content onto the NBS Facebook account.

  • Active Story Posting: A mix of reshares, original content, and informational posts throughout the week to drive real-time engagement.

  • Creative Brainstorming: Quarterly strategy meetings to generate fresh ideas and align content with marketing goals.

  • Performance Tracking + Reporting: Monthly performance reports with insights on growth, engagement, and impact to refine strategy and improve results.
